First and foremost, I'm a mom who has a son with severe-to-profound hearing loss. I found my calling as the Vice President of Events and Board member for the HEAR Project. I'm a Hearing Loss Blogger, Author, and Founder of the Hearing Loss Foundation.
I'm a Certified ADA Coordinator and parent advocate for families with children who are hard-of-hearing; Educating, guiding, and helping parents navigate through the Auditory-Oral approach to promote spoken language.
I'm a hearing loss advocate who's determined to help find a cure for hearing loss. I'm fascinated by the hair-cell regeneration project, and passionate about raising hearing loss awareness.
I'm a voice for my son and children like him. I have two children- Thimio, who was born with Connexin 26 severe-to-profound bilateral hearing loss, and Athena, a.k.a. "Hearing Aid, Sis", who was born without hearing loss.
